Soybean Smaragd

Precision German Genetics for Early Harvest

In the soybean market, the "Смарагд" (Smaragd) variety from P.H.Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard represents a specialized, ultra-early solution designed for growers facing short growing seasons. German plant breeding is renowned for its focus on environmental adaptability and consistency, and this variety upholds that legacy by prioritizing reliability under varying climatic stress.

The lineage of this variety traces back to the research efforts of P.H.Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard, with the original breeding expertise provided by Matz Petersen and the associated German research stations. This pedigree ensures that the genetic integrity of the variety is maintained, providing consistent field performance across professional agricultural operations.

Agronomic Profile and Performance

The standout feature of "Смарагд" is its rapid maturation cycle, reaching harvest-readiness in just 90 days. This allows farmers to bypass late-autumn rainfall risks, ensuring a cleaner, more efficient harvest before the first frosts. Morphologically, the variety develops into a compact structure ranging from 40 to 60 cm in height. This specific plant architecture is designed for ease of mechanical harvesting, providing excellent resistance to lodging.

• Early Maturity: Up to 90 days of vegetation, allowing for rapid crop rotation.
• Plant Structure: 40-60 cm height provides optimal canopy management and harvest efficiency.
• Proven Origin: Developed by P.H.Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard, Germany, adhering to strict quality standards.

The reputation of this variety is built on performance predictability. Unlike late-maturing, high-biomass hybrids, "Смарагд" minimizes the need for extensive chemical weed control through its rapid early-stage development and canopy closure. It is an essential asset for farmers prioritizing intensive agriculture and strict adherence to seasonal timelines, where every day counts toward a successful harvest cycle.
