Description Sanraiz
Sunrise is a mid-season hybrid sunflower of Serbian selection, developed by the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad and registered in the State Register of Ukraine in 2021. It is intended for oil production and cultivation using the SUMO (under Granstar) technology. The vegetation period ranges from 108 to 113 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to various climatic conditions, including steppe and south-steppe zones.

The hybrid is characterized by high yield — over 45 centners per hectare, with the 2020 yield reaching 41.6 centners per hectare. Plants reach a height of 160-170 cm, have a strong stem with dense covering of stiff hairs, and a well-developed root system from early growth stages. The sunflower head is thin, convex, semi-downward, with a diameter of 21-25 cm, seeds are elongated, black, with a 1000-seed weight of 70-75 g.

Sunrise exhibits high drought, lodging, and shattering resistance, as well as resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, fomopsis, fomosis, and rust. The hybrid is resistant to eight races of parasitic weed wolf (resistance level A-G+), significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. High oil content in seeds (49-50%) makes this hybrid attractive for oilseed producers, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
