Soybean P0005B04

A 2025 Breeding Innovation: Potential for Forest-Steppe and Polissya

Soybean P0005B04 is a complex hybrid from Corteva Agriscience Ukraine, officially registered in 2025. This variety is designed for farmers focusing on early maturity and stability in the northern and central regions of Ukraine.

Morphological Features and Development

The plant exhibits a semi-determinate growth type with a semi-erect habit, ensuring optimal crop architecture. Early flowering and early maturity allow for efficient moisture utilization during the first half of the growing season, which is critical for the Forest-Steppe and Polissya zones.

• Appearance: A medium-height plant with light brown stem pubescence and moderate leaf crinkling. The flowers are purple.
• Pod and Seed Characteristics: The pods are medium-brown. The seeds are round-elongated with a yellow seed coat and a yellow hilum, meeting high commercial grain standards.
• Size and Quality: The 1000-seed weight ranges from small to medium. The lack of significant glossiness on the seeds indicates specific physical and chemical properties of the seed coat.

P0005B04 is an excellent choice for those seeking a balanced hybrid with a predictable development cycle. Thanks to its early maturity, the variety allows for earlier field clearance, simplifying harvest logistics and soil preparation for winter crops.
