Soybean variety Silver Rutu is an early-maturing annual herbaceous plant of the legume family, characterized by high yield potential. Plant height reaches 60-80 cm, facilitating ease of cultivation and harvest. The variety has a high protein content (39-42%) and oil content (20-24%), making it valuable for both food and feed purposes. Due to its resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as adaptability to various soil-climate conditions, this variety is successfully grown in forest-steppe and steppe zones.
Soybean Silver Rutu is rich in B-group vitamins (B1, B2, B6), as well as vitamins PP, E, C, and K, enhancing its nutritional value. It also contains essential minerals such as potassium, calcium, and iron. The presence of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats makes this variety an indispensable dietary product. Sowing is recommended in spring at a depth of 4-5 cm with row spacing of 30 cm, which promotes optimal plant development and high yield.
The variety was registered in 2010 and recommended for cultivation in the Ukrainian soybean belt, especially in the forest-steppe zone with fertile soils and favorable thermal and moisture conditions. These conditions ensure reliable maturation and high yield, which, according to performance indicators, is not inferior to foreign varieties, while this variety is better adapted to local conditions. Thus, soybean Silver Rutu is a promising choice for farmers seeking high-quality and high-yield crops.
