NS Virtus

NS Virtus sunflower is a high-yielding hybrid developed by the Serbian seed company NS Seme. It has a high yield potential of up to 53 centners per hectare, making it an attractive choice for farmers seeking maximum productivity. The oil content of the seeds ranges from 50-52%, ensuring high oil content in the harvest.

The hybrid exhibits high drought resistance, enabling successful cultivation under limited water conditions. Additionally, NS Virtus is resistant to more than seven strains of the parasitic weed — downy mildew (A-G+), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. The plant has a vegetation period of 102-107 days and reaches a height of 175-185 cm, which is ideal for mechanized harvesting.

NS Virtus also demonstrates high resistance to various diseases, including rust, gray and white mold, fomopsis, fomosis, alternariosis, septoria, downy mildew, and rot. The recommended seeding density before harvest is 55,000 — 60,000 plants per hectare, which promotes optimal plant development and maximum crop productivity.
