Saltwort BAIKALSKAYA

Siberian resilience for your field

The "Baikalskaya" saltwort variety, developed by scientists at the Central Siberian Botanical Garden of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, represents a prime example of adaptive breeding. Unlike ornamental or wild species, this variety was specifically selected for high efficiency in harsh climates where resilience to extreme temperature fluctuations and water scarcity is critical.

Key advantages

• Climatic plasticity: The genetics of "Baikalskaya" allow the plant to maintain viability even in regions with short growing seasons and irregular precipitation.
• Controlled breeding: As a variety developed by a leading research institution (CSBG SB RAS), it offers superior genetic purity compared to unverified seeds on the market.
• Predictable yields: When standard cultivation practices are followed, the variety demonstrates uniform germination and stable growth rates, essential for accurate harvest planning.

Who should choose this variety?

"Baikalskaya" is designed for farmers and small-scale growers operating in challenging agricultural zones. If your plot is located in northern latitudes or prone to drought, this variety serves as a reliable tool for consistent production. While it performs exceptionally well in harsh conditions, its potential is maximized where other crops might fail due to environmental stress. For regions with exceptionally mild climates, the variety's extreme vigor may be less critical, though its structural stability remains a distinct advantage.

It is important to note that the crop requires specific soil conditions to maximize the accumulation of its beneficial properties. It responds well to balanced mineral fertilization, while an excess of organic matter may negatively affect the density of the plant structure.
