Caramelo

Corn Caramelo F1 is an ultra-early Sh-2 type sweet corn hybrid developed by the Turkish company May Seeds. The vegetative period is 59-65 days, allowing for harvest in a short time and even enabling two or three crops per season, especially in southern regions. The plant reaches a height of about 130 cm, has a strong root system and sturdy stems, ensuring resistance to lodging and allowing for mechanized cultivation.

The ears of Caramelo F1 are characterized by large, densely packed, light-yellow kernels. The ear length reaches 22-24 cm, diameter about 5 cm, with 14-18 rows of kernels 10-12 mm deep. The leaf surface is wider than that of competitors, promoting rapid sugar accumulation and the formation of two full ears with proper feeding. Thanks to the dense green leaf cover, the crop is reliably protected from high temperatures and pests.

The hybrid is distinguished by high yield — up to 22-24 tons per hectare, resistance to major diseases such as fusarium, root rot and rust, as well as low water requirement and heat tolerance. Corn Caramelo F1 is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic covers, making it a versatile choice for industrial production and private farms. Excellent market qualities, good storage and transportability make this hybrid popular among Ukrainian farmers.
