Diplotaxis tenuifolia – an early-maturing variety that develops quickly: it takes only 25‑28 days from full emergence to harvest. The plant reaches a height of 12‑16 cm, has medium-sized leaves, green in color with a lyre-shaped form and toothed edges, and light yellow flowers.
This green is valued for its delicate mustard flavor and aroma reminiscent of arugula. Young leaves are ideal for fresh salads, side dishes for meat and fish, and can be used in pizza, pasta, or as a vegetable addition. Flowers can be added to dishes as a spice, and seeds are used in the production of mustard and oil.
Diplotaxis tenuifolia is easy to grow in open ground: it is unpretentious, frost-hardy, and recovers quickly after cutting. With proper care, 1.6 kg of greens can be harvested from one square meter. The optimal temperature regime for intensive growth is +16‑18 °C, and good lighting promotes faster plant development.
