Arugula TAMI

The Dutch Gold Standard in Arugula Production

The «Temisto» arugula variety from Rijk Zwaan has firmly established itself as a benchmark for professional greenhouse and open-field growers. Dutch breeding excellence has successfully combined high yield potential with robust disease resistance, addressing one of the most persistent challenges in commercial leaf production: downy mildew (peronospora), which can devastate a crop in just a few days.

Agronomic Advantages

In both protected and field conditions, «Temisto» exhibits vigorous growth and exceptional uniformity in its leaf rosette. For commercial growers, the key advantage is its strong resistance profile, which allows for a reduction in pesticide application—a critical requirement for meeting high-quality standards in modern retail and the HoReCa industry.

Culinary Versatility

This variety is celebrated for its balanced nutty, mustard-like flavor with a refined, moderate pungency. It is highly valued by professional chefs for a wide range of applications:

• A foundational ingredient for premium salad mixes;
• An elegant garnish for meat-based dishes;
• A sophisticated flavoring component for seafood and fish.

The dense structure of the leaves ensures excellent shelf life and freshness retention after harvest, making it a reliable choice for long-distance transport and demanding retail supply chains.
