Rose Shells

Pearlescent Aesthetics for Your Garden

The ‘Mushli’ rose is a flagship achievement in selective breeding by the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. Unlike mass-market European hybrids often optimized for greenhouse environments, this Ukrainian variety was developed specifically to withstand the local climate’s volatility. Its defining feature is captured in its name: the petals mimic the complex, swirling geometry of a seashell, with a pearlescent finish that adds depth and volume to every bloom.

Key Strengths and Characteristics

• Regional Resilience: This variety shows notable endurance against temperature fluctuations typical of Ukraine, reducing the need for intensive agrochemical maintenance compared to sensitive imported varieties.
• Architectural Beauty: In the half-bloom stage, the flower resembles a distinct architectural form, making it stand out from standard tea hybrid roses that follow a more conventional shape.
• Vigorous Flowering: The plant possesses excellent regenerative capabilities, ensuring consistent wave-like blooming throughout the entire growing season.

Is This Variety Right for You?

‘Mushli’ is the ideal choice for gardeners who prefer character over generic beauty. It is specifically designed as a decorative asset for the landscape, requiring minimal intervention to maintain its structure while remaining highly responsive to basic seasonal feeding. It is not a fragile showpiece; rather, it is a robust, well-adapted variety of Ukrainian selection that merges sophisticated aesthetics with a reliable immune system. Perfect for focal points in a garden, it provides a unique textural contrast that standard commercial roses lack.
