Rose GASANOV MEMORIAL

Steel character in snow-white petals

The «Pamyati Gasanova» variety is a prime example of how Russian breeding by the Vavilov Institute (VIR) creates plants adapted to the harshest climatic challenges. Unlike finicky European shrubs, this variety requires minimal winter protection, successfully enduring temperatures as low as -35°C. It is not just an ornamental bush, but a resilient «soldier» for your garden.

Why choose «Pamyati Gasanova»?

• Immunity as the top priority: The biggest headache for rose growers—powdery mildew—barely touches this variety. Its very high disease resistance allows you to minimize the use of chemical treatments.
• Scale and volume: The bush is robust, reaching up to 200 cm in height and over a meter in width. It is an ideal choice for creating hedges, backdrops for flower beds, or as a focal point on a lawn.
• Classic beauty without compromise: The flowers, 7–10 cm in diameter, have a perfect classic shape. An important nuance: the total lack of fragrance. This makes the variety an excellent choice for allergy-prone individuals or those who prefer a scent-free garden.

Strengths and weaknesses: The clear advantages are its frost resistance and low maintenance. The flowers hold up exceptionally well in cuttings, remaining fresh in a vase for a long time. The weakness is the lack of fragrance, which might disappoint fans of strong floral perfumes. However, this is more than offset by the continuous blooming throughout the entire summer season.

This variety is optimal for gardeners in regions with unstable climates and sharp temperature fluctuations. If you need a rose that works for your landscape rather than demanding constant supervision, «Pamyati Gasanova» is your best bet.
