Driscolls «DrisRaspSeven»: Precision Breeding in Raspberry Production

The remontant variety «DrisRaspSeven» represents the pinnacle of US horticultural science, developed by the Driscoll Strawberry Associates team. The breeding program, led by experts such as Brian K. Hamilton and Carlos D. Fear, aimed to solve the primary challenge of commercial growers: combining high-yield production with aesthetic and structural perfection.

Why it stands out

• Remontant Efficiency: Designed for multiple harvests, this variety optimizes land usage and ensures a consistent supply chain for the grower.
• Market-Leading Quality: The berries boast a vibrant, bright red hue and a resilient texture, making them ideal for the high-end retail sector where visual appeal and shelf-life are critical.
• Verified Genetics: As a protected variety, it offers consistency that generic varieties cannot match, provided the grower adheres to established cultivation protocols.

Unlike casual backyard cultivars, «DrisRaspSeven» is a high-performance asset for commercial farming. It demands precise fertigation and expert management, but it rewards the intensive grower with consistent output and premium fruit quality. For operations targeting upscale supermarkets or the HoReCa industry, this variety provides the reliability required to maintain brand reputation and profitability in a competitive market.
