Clarus

Rapeseed Clarus — this early-maturing winter hybrid, selected by Zaatbau, has a high yield potential up to 60 centners per hectare and high oil content, reaching 48.9%. The hybrid is characterized by excellent winter hardiness and adaptability to stressful growing conditions, ensuring successful vegetation recovery in spring even with late sowing. Plants are compact with strong stems, contributing to high resistance to lodging and pod cracking. Clarus exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as phomopsis, sclerotinia, downy mildew, and alternaria, with resistance ratings from 7 to 8 out of 9. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid is reliable for cultivation and reduces the risk of yield losses. The recommended sowing rate is 350–600 thousand plants per hectare, depending on sowing dates, which may vary from early (August 10–15) to late (September 1–10). The hybrid Clarus is ideal for cultivation in the Ukrainian forest-steppe zone as well as in all climatic zones of the country. High oil and protein content (21.9–23.8%) makes it attractive for the oil industry. Compactness and plant strength, along with high drought resistance and resistance to lodging and shattering, ensure a stable and high-quality yield even under adverse weather conditions.
