Columbia, a winter rapeseed hybrid, is a high-yielding, mid-season variety developed for conventional cultivation methods. It features rapid early growth and high adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, ensuring stable development and high productivity. Plants reach a height of 160-180 cm, with a 1000-seed weight of 5-6 grams, contributing to good sowing quality.

The potential yield of the Columbia hybrid reaches 60 centners per hectare, with seed oil content ranging from 47-49% and protein content of 36-38%. These characteristics make this hybrid attractive for obtaining high-quality raw material rich in oil and protein. Recommended seeding rates vary depending on soil moisture: 350-450 thousand seeds per hectare under adequate moisture, and 300-400 thousand under less stable conditions.

Columbia exhibits high resistance to major diseases and stress factors. The hybrid demonstrates excellent lodging resistance (rating 9), winter hardiness and drought tolerance at level 8, as well as resistance to diseases such as phoma, sclerotinia, and verticillium. Due to these qualities, along with its mid-season flowering period, the hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest Steppe regions, where it shows stable performance and high agronomic value.
