Sunflower LG50648 is an early-maturing hybrid with high productivity and resistance to adverse conditions. Plants reach an average height of about 140 cm, and the flower head diameter is approximately 17 cm. The 1000-seed mass equals 67 grams, indicating the hybrid's large-seed character. The hybrid has a high oil content, reaching up to 50%, making it a sought-after raw material for the oilseed industry.

This sunflower exhibits high drought tolerance and resistance to late spring frosts, enabling successful cultivation in regions with a short agricultural season, such as southern and central Ukraine. LG50648 demonstrates excellent resistance to lodging and possesses high initial growth energy, which promotes good plant development under various agronomic conditions, including high-intensity cultivation techniques.

The hybrid shows high tolerance to major sunflower diseases, including root and head rot, Phomopsis, Phomosis, gray mold, dry rot, black mold, and false powdery mildew. Additionally, it is resistant to seven known races of downy mildew (A, B, C, D, E, F, G+) and some new forms of this pathogen. Furthermore, LG50648 effectively resists insect pests, ensuring stable yields and high product quality.
