Prince

The winter rapeseed hybrid Prince from the company DSV is a modern product of the new generation, developed in accordance with current requirements of agriculture and the impact of biotic and abiotic factors. One of the key features of the hybrid is the presence of the gene for resistance to yellow turnip mosaic virus (TuYV), which has become increasingly dangerous in recent years due to the prolonged and warm autumn, which favors the development of the aphid — the virus vector. This resistance protects crops from yield loss under pest and infection pressure, especially under stressful conditions such as drought and heat during the spring-summer vegetation period, which is particularly relevant for growing conditions in Ukraine.

Prince belongs to the compact hybrid type, which ensures its high efficiency in nitrogen uptake, important for intensive cultivation technologies using high fertilizer rates, including organic ones. The compact plant architecture reduces susceptibility to lodging, and uniform lighting of pods on all plant layers promotes uniform maturation. Early flowering and ripening allow the hybrid to effectively utilize water reserves and avoid negative effects of high temperatures during flowering and seed filling, which contributes to full realization of its genetic potential.

The hybrid Prince is characterized by high yield (rating 7) and good oil content (rating 6). It possesses high winter hardiness, lodging resistance, drought tolerance, and balanced development during autumn and spring periods. The hybrid's requirement for growth regulators is moderate, which simplifies agronomic care. All these characteristics make Prince an optimal choice for modern winter rapeseed cultivation conditions, ensuring stable and high-quality yields even under challenging climatic conditions.
