Rapeseed PR 46 W 21

Stability and Adaptability in Winter Rapeseed

Choosing the winter rapeseed variety PR 46 B 21 from Pioneer s.a. is a strategic decision for growers seeking a balance between reliable performance and manageable production costs. Unlike highly demanding hybrids, this variety stands out for its resilience and adaptability to various soil types and environmental conditions. It is the ideal choice for farms looking to mitigate risks in unpredictable climates.

Genetic Resistance: Protecting Your Yield

Phytosanitary stability is the cornerstone of profitability. Pioneer s.a. has focused on building strong genetic defense mechanisms against the most damaging pathogens:

• Sclerotinia: The variety exhibits robust resistance to stem and flower infection, which is crucial for maintaining yield during wet flowering periods.
• Phoma: Enhanced genetic tolerance minimizes the risk of early tissue decay and lodging, ensuring crop integrity until harvest.

Agronomic Best Practices

As a variety-population, PR 46 B 21 requires specific management of planting density to reach its full potential. The recommended seeding rate is 400,000 plants per hectare. At this density, the plants fully utilize the available space, developing strong lateral branches and a uniform stand. With an oil content of 40-45%, this variety produces a highly marketable commodity. For producers who value predictability over the volatility of expensive high-tech hybrids, PR 46 B 21 offers a proven, consistent solution for sustainable farming operations.
