Phoenix CL

Phoenix CL — this is a high-yielding winter rapeseed hybrid developed using Clearfield technology and produced by DSV in Germany. Plants are characterized by a medium-early maturity with a vegetation period ranging from 281 to 312 days and a height of approximately 160-170 cm. The hybrid exhibits high drought resistance, cold tolerance up to -13°C, and resistance to lodging, ensuring stable yields even under adverse climatic conditions. Seeds are packaged in polyethylene bags of 1.5 million seeds each and require storage at +7-10°C and humidity not exceeding 10%. Phoenix CL has a high yield potential — up to 4.5 t/ha (70 c/ha), with oil content in seeds reaching 48%, making it especially valuable for oilseed applications. The hybrid demonstrates excellent resistance to major rapeseed diseases such as root rot, downy mildew, and fusarium, as well as to shattering and pod cracking. Thanks to these qualities, Phoenix CL is suitable for cultivation across all regions of Ukraine and other areas with varying soil-climatic conditions. The plant exhibits good early growth and earlier development compared to predecessors, facilitating successful adaptation and high productivity even on soils with low moisture retention and high acidity. The hybrid is recommended for early and late sowing dates, along with specific agronomic requirements, including the exclusion of ammonium fertilizers applied together with seeds. Optimal predecessors for Phoenix CL include pea, corn, winter wheat, and barley.
