The Pegasus sunflower hybrid is a high-yielding and high-oleic variety, characterized by stable productivity and adaptability to various climatic conditions. The vegetation period of the hybrid ranges from 107 to 112 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times. Potential yield reaches 52 centners per hectare, and oil content of seeds varies between 48-50%, making Pegasus attractive for high-quality oil production.

Pegasus exhibits high drought and heat tolerance, ensuring its stable growth even under adverse weather conditions. The hybrid is genetically resistant to six races of downy mildew and also demonstrates resistance to a broad spectrum of diseases, including downy mildew, rust, septoria, fusarium, black mold, alternative ovary, white and gray mold. This comprehensive resistance helps reduce crop losses and minimizes the need for frequent fungicide applications.

Recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: under sufficient moisture, 58-63 thousand plants per hectare are optimal, while in dry conditions — 45-53 thousand. The hybrid quickly recovers after treatment with the herbicide Evrolight at a rate of 1-1.2 liters per hectare, simplifying crop care and enhancing weed control effectiveness. Pegasus performs best in Ukrainian regions with favorable climatic conditions, such as the Nikolaev, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Dnipro regions.
