Rapeseed Povin

A Reliable Choice for Intensive Farming

"Povin" is a winter rapeseed variety developed in Ukraine, designed for producers focused on predictable yields and sustainable cost management. As a variety rather than a hybrid, it allows farmers to retain seeds for future seasons, significantly reducing production costs without compromising yield potential.

Productivity and Agronomic Traits

The variety shows vigorous growth during the autumn phase, which is essential for successful overwintering. Reaching a height of 150–160 cm, the plant provides a robust biomass base, which, under proper nutrition, yields between 40 and 50 quintals per hectare. Agronomists can manage plant density effectively to ensure even maturation and minimize lodging.

• Oil Content: With 46–48% oil content, this crop is highly sought after by processing facilities, offering strong market liquidity.
• Quality Standards: The low erucic acid content meets strict industry requirements, making it suitable for both food production and export.
• Proven Performance: Developed by the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agriculture NAAS," the variety is well-adapted to local climatic challenges.

Operational Scenarios

"Povin" is a strategic fit for farms that employ systematic intensive fertilization programs. The variety responds exceptionally well to early spring nitrogen applications, which is the key to unlocking its full yield potential. By incorporating this variety into the crop rotation, producers can effectively manage their harvest timeline and equipment logistics, ensuring a high-margin output per hectare.
