Lavina is a high-yielding hybrid of winter rapeseed (Brassica napus var. napus) type 00, characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. This mid-season variety is distinguished by its high oil content, with oil levels in seeds ranging from 43.8% to 46.9%, making it attractive to the oilseed industry. The plants feature a dense siliqua pod and are relatively resistant to major rapeseed diseases, contributing to stable yields and reduced losses during cultivation.

The hybrid Lavina is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Volga Region and Far East, as well as in the Republic of Tatarstan, Penza Oblast, and Amur Oblast. Average yield in the Volga Region reaches 21.3 centners per hectare, exceeding standard benchmarks by 2.2 centners. Due to its genetic adaptation, plants exhibit intensive early growth, creating a dense soil cover around the roots, which aids in effective soil moisture retention and enhances drought resistance.
