F 344 OL is a winter rapeseed, a herbaceous plant from the mustard family with a powerful root system penetrating up to 3 meters deep. The rapeseed vegetation period lasts about 295-300 days, starting with autumn rosette formation and continuing with the spring development of an upright stem 150-180 cm high with numerous yellow flowers. The fruit is a narrow pod 6-15 cm long, containing 35-40 seeds weighing 4.5-6 grams per thousand. Rapeseed has the ability for self-pollination with partial cross-pollination, contributing to its stability and productivity.
For successful cultivation of F 344 OL, it is recommended to place the crop on podzolic, light loamy, and medium loamy soils with neutral or slightly acidic reaction (pH not lower than 6.0-6.5). Rapeseed grows well even on sandy soils with sufficient moisture, but areas with excessive moisture, peat, and swampy soils, as well as places with shallow groundwater, should be avoided. It is optimal to place crops on flat or slightly elevated areas protected from frosty winds and with sufficient snow cover in winter. In crop rotation, rapeseed is returned to previous fields no earlier than 4-5 years, with the mandatory removal of residues from previous crops.
F 344 OL is characterized by high yield and competitiveness among agricultural crops, making it profitable for cultivation. Sowing of seeds is carried out at a depth of 2-3 cm with a sowing rate of 5 kg per hectare for precision sowing and 7 kg for manual. Rapeseed is also valued as a nectar plant and can be used as a green manure crop. Due to its adaptability and productivity, this hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various regions, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
