Delight — this is a hybrid rapeseed with high yield potential and lodging resistance, intended for cultivation under minimum tillage conditions and in various climatic zones. Plant height averages 130 to 145 cm, ensuring good 1000-seed mass and stable yields. The hybrid exhibits balanced development: early growth is rated 5, maturity 3, and lodging resistance reaches 7. Yield potential under production conditions ranges from 30 to 38 centners per hectare, confirmed by registration in several countries, including Poland, Lithuania, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine.
Delight belongs to the medium-early hybrids of winter rapeseed (Brassica napus var. napus) and is recommended for seed production. It is included in the State Register in several regions of Russia, such as the Northwestern, Volga-Vyatka, and Central Chernozem regions, and is approved for cultivation in Kaliningrad, Leningrad regions, and the Perm Krai. Average seed yields in these regions reach 29.4 centners per hectare and 16.3 centners per hectare respectively, with oil content in seeds ranging from 44.2 to 47.1%. The hybrid's productivity potential may reach 42.3 centners per hectare, making it attractive for farmers focused on high-quality seed production.
The Delight hybrid possesses high genetic resistance to major rapeseed diseases, including turnip yellow virus (TuYV), verticillium wilt, cylindrosporiasis, and phoma. It demonstrates active autumn development of both underground and above-ground plant biomass, extending sowing windows and enhancing adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions. Harmonious spring development, balanced plant architecture, and synchronized stem and pod ripening ensure easy harvest and minimal losses during threshing. Due to these qualities, Delight consistently shows high yields even under adverse weather conditions, as confirmed by trials in different regions of Ukraine and Europe.
