The insecticide Contact Plus is a contact-stomach preparation from the group of synthetic pyrethroids, intended for protecting agricultural crops from a wide range of pests. The active ingredient is alpha-cypermethrin at a concentration of 100 g/l, and the formulation is an emulsion concentrate. Contact Plus is used for treating crops such as wheat, rapeseed, sugar beet, potato, and apple, with application rates varying depending on the crop: from 0.1 to 0.25 l/ha.
The mechanism of action of the insecticide is based on paralysis of the central and peripheral nervous systems of insects. Alpha-cypermethrin exhibits rapid contact-stomach activity, causing cessation of pest movement within 10-15 minutes after application, and complete mortality within 1.5-2 hours. The preparation is effective against a wide range of leaf-feeding and sucking pests, providing reliable protection for agricultural crops.
Contact Plus has repellent and antifeedant properties, which further reduce pest activity. Due to its resistance to degradation under solar radiation, the preparation remains reliably on the plant surfaces. The use of small doses ensures a prolonged protective period — more than 12 days — making Contact Plus an effective and economical means of protecting agricultural crops.
