Kronos — this is a series of agricultural machines, specifically compact disc harrows, designed for high-quality surface and pre-sowing soil treatment. These units provide effective soil loosening with minimal energy consumption thanks to tandem disc working organs mounted on the frame via rubber dampers. The discs are arranged with a 220 mm spacing and have an attack angle of 17 degrees, allowing complete cutting of plant residues and soil, ensuring uniform and stable treatment depth across the entire working width thanks to the terrain-following mechanism based on a roller. A distinctive feature of Kronos harrows is moisture retention in the topsoil layers and protection against unnecessary losses, creating favorable conditions for weed seed germination and microbial flora development. Surface treatment promotes faster decomposition of plant residues and maintains soil fertility. When shredding cereal stubble, a single pass of the unit achieves soil condition meeting modern agronomic requirements. Due to the stability and uniformity of the treatment depth, Kronos is also recommended for pre-sowing cultivation. Additionally, VELES AGRO offers a unique rotary cutter as an option for Kronos disc harrows with a working width from 4 to 11 meters. This cutter, mounted in front of the discs, chops coarse-stemmed crop residues such as corn, sunflower, and rapeseed transversely, while the discs work longitudinally. The treatment depth is adjusted by a hydraulic cylinder with precise position fixation via locking washers. The cutter blades are made of hardened wear-resistant steel with double-sided sharpening, doubling their service life. The cutter supports are mounted to the frame via damping dampers, reducing vibrational and impact loads, enhancing the reliability and durability of the unit.
