Cloud CL is a hybrid winter rapeseed (Brassica napus var. napus) 00 type, adapted to Clearfield® technology, providing tolerance to imidazolin-based herbicides. The hybrid has a medium-early to medium-maturing vegetative period, ranging from 97 to 104 days depending on the growing region. Plants have medium to medium-long height of about 89 cm, exhibit high resistance to lodging and shattering, and show high drought tolerance, making them suitable for various climatic conditions, including the Central Volga and Eastern Siberian regions.
One of the key features of Cloud CL is its high yield, averaging 18.6–21.6 c/ha, with maximum yields reaching up to 41.3 c/ha under favorable conditions. Seeds have a 1000-seed mass ranging from 4.1 to 4.7 g and contain a high oil content — from 42.0 to 45.1%, exceeding standard levels. The hybrid also features genetic resistance to Phoma (RlmS), high winter hardiness, and rapid autumn development, which contributes to successful vegetation renewal in spring.
The cultivation technology for Cloud CL involves optimal late sowing dates and a recommended seeding rate of 450–500 thousand seeds per hectare. The hybrid shows excellent response to growth regulators, high resistance to pod cracking and diseases, ensuring stable and high-quality yields. Thanks to these characteristics, Cloud CL is a versatile and reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality rapeseed yields with improved agronomic performance.
