Radish EASTERN EXPRESS

Technical Potential of Ultra-Early Radish

"Vostochny Express" (Eastern Express) is a breeding project by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing, designed for high-intensity crop cycles. The technical value of this variety lies in its ability to reach market maturity within 18–20 days, serving as a critical asset for conveyor-belt production in both greenhouse and open-field conditions.

Key Morphological and Agronomic Data

• Maturation Cycle: Ultra-early, ranging from 18 to 20 days. This minimizes energy expenditures for supplemental lighting in winter greenhouses and accelerates crop rotation.
• Root Morphology: Round shape with high uniformity, ensuring standardized packaging and compliance with retail quality requirements.
• Seasonal Adaptability: Optimized for the winter-spring production cycle. The genetics of the variety allow it to compensate for low light levels while maintaining tissue density.

For agribusinesses, the primary benefit of choosing this variety is crop predictability. Unlike late-maturing varieties, "Vostochny Express" is not prone to rapid woodiness when irrigation schedules are maintained. The absence of internal voids at the time of harvest ensures a consistent yield of high-quality produce.

When deploying this variety during winter cycles, precision in temperature management is paramount. Utilizing this cultivar allows producers to vacate greenhouses faster for subsequent crops, significantly increasing the overall profitability per hectare of protected soil.
