DRAGON TONGUE

Dragon Tongue is a unique variety of dichondra repens, known for its bright contrasting leaves and spicy taste. It is characterized by high yield, cold hardiness, and disease resistance, making it an ideal choice for both open ground and greenhouses. The first leaves can be harvested as early as 25-30 days after sowing, and thanks to the vertical compact rosette, they grow quickly, creating lush greens.

Dragon tongue leaves are deep green, decorated with red veins, and have a heavily serrated edge. Such texture adds bright sharpness and freshness to dishes: they go perfectly with salads, stewed vegetables, spaghetti, and baked fish. The plant's flowers can be used to flavor and garnish dishes, adding a light spicy note.

To maintain a continuous harvest, it is recommended to regularly pick young leaves, which extends the harvesting period. When growing in a greenhouse, it is important to ensure regular watering – lack of moisture may cause bitterness in the greens. Harvesting is done before the appearance of flower stalks to preserve the maximum taste and aroma of the plant.
