Funtik

The 'Funtik' pumpkin variety is an early-maturing universal variety with compact plants, the main vine of which reaches up to 2.5 meters in length. The fruits have an elongated pear shape, smooth orange-yellow skin, and weigh from 2 to 2.5 kilograms, making them convenient for use and storage. The fruit length is 27-30 cm, and the diameter is 9-12 cm. The seed cavity is small and located at the top of the fruit.

The flesh of the 'Funtik' pumpkin is distinguished by its bright orange color, crunchy texture, pronounced aroma, and high sweetness. Thanks to these qualities, it makes delicious baked dishes, as well as various desserts such as candied fruits, marmalade, pudding, and jelly. In addition, the pumpkin is excellent for making autumn salads with vegetable additions.

The variety is characterized by high yield and drought resistance, which facilitates plant care. Cultivation is done via seedlings with sowing in April. For optimal development, rare but abundant watering and shaping are recommended, leaving 4-5 fruits per plant. The increased content of carotene, sugars, and vitamins makes this variety especially valuable, and long-term storage allows the harvest to be used over a long period.
