Originator — Institute of Plant Growing named after V. Ya. Yuryev, NAAN.
Year of inclusion in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine — 2009, recommended for cultivation in the Polissian, forest-steppe, and steppe zones of Ukraine.
Agronomic characteristics: variety lutescens, plant form semi-erect. Ear spindle-shaped, 8-9 cm long, medium density (20-21 nodes per 10 cm of stem). Glume lanceolate, weakly veined, ear glume teeth short, slightly curved. Grain red, oval-shaped, medium size. 1000-grain weight 43.0 g
Biological features: medium-maturing variety, heading and ripening occur within standard timeframes. Medium-height variety, plant height 96-100 cm, stem of medium thickness, resistant to lodging. High winter hardiness, 8 points under artificial freezing. Resistant to powdery mildew, brown rust, and snow mold; additionally, resistance to VJKY is higher than standard varieties.
Agronomic traits: potential yield 10.0 t/ha. Consistently forms high-quality grain in all zones. Meets requirements for strong wheat. Protein content 13.5-14.0%, gluten — 28%, dough strength — 285-391 o.a., loaf volume from 100 g flour 660 ml. In the 2008 institute trial, yield was 8.85 t/ha. In State Variety Trials: in Steppe on eight DSs — 6.68 t/ha; in Forest-Steppe on nine DSs — 6.88 t/ha; in Polissia — 5.47 t/ha. Maximum yield 8.38 t/ha was recorded on the Myrhorod DS in Poltava Oblast.
Agronomic requirements. Universal-purpose variety, adaptable to cultivation conditions, recommended for planting after non-cereal predecessors. Relatively tolerant of late sowing. Plant protection against diseases and pests is necessary. Seeds should be treated with fungicide in combination with insecticide prior to sowing. Seed sowing rate: 4.5 million germinating seeds per hectare after fallow, 5.0 million after non-cereal predecessors.
