Divo

Wheat variety 'Divо' is a soft wheat that can be either winter or spring depending on growing conditions. Winter wheat has two active vegetation periods: autumn, during which vegetative organs develop, and spring-summer, when generative organs form and the plant produces yield. Spring wheat variety 'Divо' has a vegetation period of 85 to 95 days and is suitable for cultivation in areas with mild winters. This variety is of universal use, recommended for cultivation after non-leguminous predecessors, making it adaptable to growing conditions. Variety 'Divо' has a medium ripening degree and medium plant height, exhibits high resistance to lodging and shattering, and also high resistance to diseases such as septoria, powdery mildew, and rust. The frost resistance of the variety is above average, allowing successful cultivation in the Steppe and Polissia zones of Ukraine. The thousand-grain weight is approximately 33 grams, raw gluten content reaches 29.4%, and protein content in the grain is 14%, meeting the requirements for premium baking wheat varieties. The potential yield of this variety reaches 10 tons per hectare, with stable yield performance. Wheat 'Divо' can be used not only for grain production but also as green feed for livestock, especially during the phase when seedlings reach 13–20 cm height. When planning grain harvest, grazing is stopped at the beginning of stem elongation. Additionally, in some regions, wheat is sown in mixtures with winter leguminous crops to obtain hay and silage before flowering. The seeding rate is 4.5 million viable seeds per hectare after a crop rotation and 5.5 million after non-leguminous predecessors, promoting optimal plant development and high yield.
