Rapsodia Odeska

Rapsodia Odeska — a variety of soft winter wheat, intended for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones, including the Azov, Southern, and Eastern zones of Rostov Oblast, as well as the North Caucasus region. This medium-early variety has a vegetation period of 227 to 284 days and medium-height plants averaging 79–94 cm. Rapsodia Odeska exhibits resistance to lodging, ensuring crop preservation and harvesting convenience.

The variety is characterized by good drought and frost resistance, making it versatile for cultivation on various agrofunds. It is resistant to several diseases, contributing to stable high yields reaching 110–125 ц/га. The winter hardiness of the variety is rated as below average, but is compensated by other adaptive qualities. The 1000-grain weight varies from 35 to 48 grams, indicating grain size and quality.

Rapsodia Odeska is valued for its high baking qualities: protein content is 13.2–14%, gluten content is 29–33%. These parameters ensure good bread-making and versatile application of the grain. The variety is suitable for cultivation following various predecessors, including sunflower, corn, and cereal crops on stubble, expanding its potential use in crop rotation. Seed reproduction — elite, packaging is done in big bags of 1 ton or 50 kg sacks.
