Aurelius is a mid-early winter wheat variety with a spikelet, characterized by high stability and resistance to stressful conditions. This variety is compact and genetically resistant to spring frosts, allowing it to successfully withstand extreme weather conditions. Aurelius exhibits excellent early growth even under dry vegetation, develops well-branched plants, which contributes to a high yield potential of 80–100 c/ha.
The variety shows high tolerance to major wheat diseases such as powdery mildew, yellow and brown rust, providing reliable crop protection and stable grain quality. Thousand kernel weight ranges from 36.7–47 g, protein content is 13.2–13.9%, and crude gluten content is 26.4–28.0%, ensuring high-quality flour suitable for baking purposes.
The optimal sowing period for Aurelius is from September 10 to 25 with a seeding rate of 4.0–4.5 million seeds per hectare; for late sowing from September 25 to October 5, the rate should be increased to 5.2–5.5 million seeds per hectare. The variety demonstrates high drought and disease resistance, making it especially suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipro, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions.
