IZMAILOVSKIY

The rootstock "IZMAILOVSKIY" is a medium-sized, upright, and spherical bush, ideal for growing cherries. Its shoots are unbranched, straight, and brownish-brown, while the leaves are elliptical, green with a finely serrated edge. This morphology ensures good photosynthesis and resistance to adverse conditions.

The key advantage of this rootstock is the high rooting ability of green cuttings (80‑85%), of which 76‑80% are suitable for planting in the first field of the nursery. The period of root formation is only 17 days, and the root system is tufted with numerous skeletal roots, ensuring reliable establishment and resistance to wind loads.

The rootstock is characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to cockle (Cockcomycosis). It produces almost no suckers, is compatible with many varieties of cherry and cherry plum, and begins fruiting quickly – on the second year after planting in the garden. Due to the technological ease of propagation by green cuttings, it is a sought-after product for nurseries and agricultural enterprises, ensuring stable yield and high plant productivity.
