Tarllac CL sunflower is a high-yielding hybrid with a medium-early maturity and vigorous growth type. It features high drought tolerance and heat resistance, enabling successful cultivation under stressful climatic conditions. Plants form a strong root system, ensuring robust development and high yield potential, reaching up to 5.5 tons per hectare. Plant height ranges from 165 to 175 cm, and the vegetation period varies from 112 to 116 days.
Tarllac CL hybrid is characterized by high oil content in seeds — oil content ranges from 44 to 48%. Seeds are uniform, well-formed, with a 1000-seed mass between 49–52 grams. The husk is semi-permeable, promoting optimal plant development and harvest. Plants exhibit excellent resistance to lodging and stem breakage, significantly reducing losses during harvest.
Moreover, Tarllac CL demonstrates high tolerance to major sunflower diseases, including Phomopsis and powdery mildew, as well as resistance to seven races of downy mildew. The hybrid is adapted to various climatic and soil conditions and is recommended for cultivation across all regions of Ukraine, including Polissia and forest-steppe. It is suitable for intensive cultivation technologies and is tolerant to the EuroLighting system, ensuring flexibility in the application of modern plant protection products.
