Sunflower PRETORIA CLP is a high-yielding hybrid developed using Clearfield Plus technology, providing resistance to glyphosate-resistant weeds from A to G. This mid-early hybrid with Romanian selection features a linoleic type and is suitable for intensive agricultural use. Plants of medium height (170–180 cm) have a semi-upright flower head position at a 45° angle, with a convex flower head shape, which promotes uniform ripening and ease of harvesting.
The vegetation period of PRETORIA CLP ranges from 110 to 115 days, enabling the hybrid to effectively adapt to the conditions of the North Caucasus region, where it is included in the Russian State Register. The recommended plant density per hectare is 50,000–60,000, which contributes to achieving high yield potential. The thousand-seed mass of the hybrid is low, and the oil content in the seeds is also low, which is characteristic of the linoleic type.
The hybrid has low resistance to a number of diseases, including sclerotinia, phomopsis, false powdery mildew, gray mold, phomosis, as well as drought, high temperatures, and lodging. Despite this, PRETORIA CLP demonstrates stable yield and technological harvest readiness, making it an attractive choice for farmers focused on mid-early ripening and intensive sunflower production.
