Sunflower "Region" is an early-maturing, extensive hybrid of Serbian selection, developed by the company Agro Seme. It is intended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including forest-steppe, steppe, and Polissia, due to its high adaptability to regional conditions. Key characteristics of the hybrid include a short vegetation period, not exceeding 95 days, as well as high resistance to races of the sunflower moth. Additionally, "Region" tolerates drought well and is adapted for use with the herbicide Granstar, which simplifies weed control and enhances the effectiveness of agronomic practices. In recent decades, climate change has significantly impacted agriculture, especially the cultivation of heat-loving crops such as sunflower. In Ukraine, there has been an increase in the number of days with high temperatures and an extension of the vegetation period, requiring farmers to use hybrids with high stress resistance. Sunflower "Region" meets these requirements, enabling farmers to achieve stable and high-quality yields even under drought and changing climate conditions. This makes it an attractive choice for farmers aiming for high profitability and sustainable production of oilseed crops. Sunflower is an important agricultural crop used for oil and food production. In Ukraine and Russia, this crop occupies significant areas, and modern technologies and breeding contribute to increased yields and seed quality. The hybrid "Region", due to its characteristics and adaptability, supports efficient agriculture in various climatic zones, providing farmers with a reliable tool for achieving high yields and meeting the growing global demand for sunflower oil.
