Hybrid sunflower LG 50609 SX is a mid-season, high-yielding variety developed with consideration for the use of the herbicide Granstar, which provides effective protection against weeds. This hybrid is characterized by high yield stability even under conditions close to stress, making it especially suitable for cultivation in southern and eastern regions of Ukraine, as well as in areas with high virulence of pests such as downy mildew and rust.
LG 50609 SX exhibits excellent resistance to new strains of downy mildew and rust, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses due to diseases. Plants reach an average height of about 160 cm, have a head diameter of approximately 17 cm, and an average 1000-seed weight of about 55 g. The high oil content ensures significant oil yield, which is an important advantage of this hybrid.
To protect the crop, it is recommended to apply the herbicide Express® 75 WG at a rate of up to 50 g/ha during the post-leaf stage, preferably with the addition of surfactant Trend 90 to enhance treatment efficiency. This comprehensive approach to crop protection and care contributes to stable and high yields of the LG 50609 SX hybrid under challenging agroclimatic conditions.
