L 25 sunflower hybrid is a high-quality oil crop intended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones. It features a medium-early maturity period of 108-112 days, allowing for effective planning of agrotechnical operations. This hybrid boasts high yields reaching up to 4.8 tons per hectare, as well as high oil content in seeds at 50-51%, making it attractive for oilseed producers.
One of the key features of L 25 is its genetic tolerance to the herbicide Express and similar preparations, as well as resistance to 50 grams of Granstar. The hybrid demonstrates double resistance to Helminthosporium, covering five strains and system 2, which significantly reduces crop losses in the presence of this parasite. Moreover, L 25 shows drought tolerance and resistance to infestation by dicot weeds, ensuring yield stability even in complex agro-climatic conditions.
The hybrid's breeding was conducted by the V. Ya. Yuryev Institute of Plant Breeding of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, guaranteeing adaptation to local growing conditions and high-quality seed material. The cultivation technology involves using the herbicide Express under Granstar, facilitating weed control and enhancing agrotechnical efficiency. Thanks to its characteristics and reliability, L 25 hybrid is an optimal choice for agrarians seeking high and stable sunflower yields with good oil content.
