Sunflower — an important agricultural crop widely used in the food and paint industries, as well as in animal feed production. The plant is characterized by a strong root system and a tall stem that can reach up to 6 meters in height. Due to its properties, sunflower occupies significant areas on elevators for storing the harvest.

Seeds of the Ilanka sunflower variety exhibit good adaptability to various growing conditions and high potential for oil production. Black medium-sized seeds are suitable not only for oil processing but also for feeding poultry during the winter period. Petals of the flowers can be used in cooking, for example, as a salad ingredient, thus expanding the plant's applications.

Modern sunflower hybrids, such as Spicy, have a medium-early maturity and high oil content (about 50-51%). They are resistant to drought, heat, lodging, and shattering, ensuring a stable and high yield — up to 5.2 tons per hectare. The Clearfield cultivation technology and pest resistance make these hybrids especially attractive for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones.
