Phlox "Olympiad" – one of the largest-flowered varieties, created by E.A. Konstantinova in 1986. Bushes reach a height of about 70 cm and are distinguished by a sturdy, well-leafed stem. Flowers with a diameter of 5.0 to 5.3 cm have a rounded-conical inflorescence with an almost invisible ring in the same color.
Depending on the lighting, the flower changes its shade: in bright sunlight it looks pale pink or silver-lavender, and in the evening it acquires a deeper lavender tone. Such color change makes the plant especially attractive for garden compositions and landscape design.
"Olympiad" is distinguished by disease resistance and rapid spread, which allows it to be used in both small flower beds and mass plantings. The variety provides prolonged flowering of medium length (medium-early period), and its large, bright flowers add luxury to any garden.
