Parsnip Parsley Root

Practical Application of Parsnip 'Zhyvchyk'

The 'Zhyvchyk' parsnip variety, developed by Iob Naan, is designed to meet the rigorous demands of commercial vegetable production. Its primary value for growers lies in the uniformity of the root crop and its biological resistance, which simplifies post-harvest operations.

Key Operational Scenarios

• Long-term Storage: The dense, high-quality flesh of 'Zhyvchyk' is specifically suited for extended storage. It maintains structural integrity and marketability for over 4-6 months, making it a reliable asset for winter market supply.
• Industrial Processing: Due to its intense flavor profile and high dry matter content, this variety is highly sought after for the production of dehydrated vegetable mixes and frozen convenience foods.
• Mechanized Harvesting: The smooth surface and minimized lateral root development make this variety ideal for combine harvesting, significantly reducing cleaning times and sorting losses.

In the field, 'Zhyvchyk' demonstrates robustness against common root diseases, allowing farmers to optimize their fungicide programs. To maximize marketable yields, the variety requires deep-tilled, friable soil profiles. When planted in well-prepared, deep loam, the roots achieve optimal length and shape without distortion, ensuring maximum efficiency for grading lines.
