Nerato F1

Nerato F1 is a medium-maturing hybrid of onion, developed by the breeding company Hazera from the Netherlands. The vegetation period is 110-115 days from emergence to harvest. The onion is intended for cultivation in open ground and is suitable for various soil types, including heavy soils, thanks to its strong root system. The hybrid is characterized by high plasticity and resistance to adverse conditions, making it a reliable choice for farmers.

Nerato F1 bulbs have a round shape with a slender neck and a dense, rich bronze or golden-colored skin. The outer scales are well attached to the bulb, contributing to excellent storage quality. The flesh is white, crisp, and juicy, with a moderately sharp, sweet, and full-bodied flavor. The high percentage of single-celled bulbs makes this hybrid particularly attractive for marketing and processing.

The hybrid is designed for mechanical harvesting and exhibits resistance to bolting and root rot. Nerato F1 possesses a unique combination of high yield and long storage life — the onion retains its marketable appearance and nutritional qualities until April, and under optimal storage conditions, until the end of June. The recommended sowing rate is 1.0 million seeds per hectare, ensuring efficient use of sowing area.
