Mondella F1 onion is a medium-maturing hybrid of semi-sharp bulb onion, developed by the Dutch company Bejo Zaden and widely grown in Ukraine. The maturation period is approximately 105-110 days from emergence, allowing for harvest at optimal times. The plant is characterized by high productivity and vigorous growth, forming large dark green leaves with a waxy coating, as well as large round bulbs with snow-white flesh and semi-sharp taste. The onion has high commercial and flavor qualities, making it popular for fresh consumption as well as for long-term storage.
Mondella F1 features a strong root system that provides resistance to adverse weather conditions, including drought. The bulbs contain about 10% dry matter, contributing to their good storability and preservation of properties during long-term storage and transport. The bulb scales are brown, dense, and of high quality, further protecting the product from damage and diseases.
