Mondella

Mondella F1 onion is a medium-maturing hybrid of semi-sharp bulb onion, developed by the Dutch company Bejo Zaden and widely grown in Ukraine. The maturation period is approximately 105-110 days from emergence, allowing for harvest at optimal times. The plant is characterized by high productivity and vigorous growth, forming large dark green leaves with a waxy coating, as well as large round bulbs with snow-white flesh and semi-sharp taste. The onion has high commercial and flavor qualities, making it popular for fresh consumption as well as for long-term storage.

Mondella F1 features a strong root system that provides resistance to adverse weather conditions, including drought. The bulbs contain about 10% dry matter, contributing to their good storability and preservation of properties during long-term storage and transport. The bulb scales are brown, dense, and of high quality, further protecting the product from damage and diseases. The hybrid is resistant to common diseases such as pink and fusarium rot, as well as downy mildew, reducing the need for chemical protection.

Mondella F1 is intended for cultivation in open ground and is suitable for mechanized harvesting, simplifying agronomic processes on industrial plantations.
