Carmelita is a compact monarda (teresken) growing up to 60–80 cm tall, which fits easily into any garden or container. The leaves are dark green and slightly oblong, while the candle-shaped inflorescences of bright raspberry color create a picturesque accent on the bed.
Carmelita fruits are juicy and sweet with a slight sourness, making them an excellent addition to salads, smoothies, or simply as a healthy snack. Thanks to their high vitamin C content (about 18 mg/%) and other beneficial substances, they benefit your health.
This variety is easy to grow: it is resistant to powdery mildew, heat, and scorching, and the flowering period lasts about a month. Carmelita quickly takes shape and yields abundantly, making it an excellent choice for both experienced gardeners and those just starting in gardening.
