Description Roksolana
Lucerne of the Roxolana variety is a high-yielding forage grass intended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine. This variety is distinguished by high seed productivity and vigorous spring growth, as well as rapid recovery after grazing, ensuring stable and fast vegetation restoration. Roxolana thrives well in mixtures with other grasses, such as oatgrass without awns, which contributes to forming high-quality forage lands.

The forage value of Roxolana lucerne is characterized by high protein content — 20.5%, fat — 3.9%, fiber — 25.6%, and ash — 9.3%. Such a nutritional composition makes this variety especially valuable for feeding agricultural animals. The yield of forage mass at three cuttings reaches 66–69 tons per hectare, indicating high productivity and economic benefit of cultivating this variety.

Special attention is given to disease protection during Roxolana cultivation, as using disease-resistant varieties such as Roxolana significantly reduces crop losses. To ensure healthy crop development, it is recommended to follow agronomic norms, including fertilizer application and root-side feeding. These measures contribute to strengthening plants and enhancing their resistance to adverse conditions.
