The Usivskyi flax-long fiber hybrid variety was developed through crossing of collection samples Zorya 87 and Hermes, followed by individual selection based on productivity. This variety belongs to the late-maturing group, with a vegetative period of 78 to 84 days. Usivskyi is characterized by high yield: straw — 6.1 to 6.7 tons per hectare, seeds — 0.7 to 0.8 tons per hectare, and fibers — 1.5 to 1.7 tons per hectare. It possesses high spinning properties, making it valuable for industrial flax production.

The Usivskyi variety is resistant to lodging and shows moderate resistance to diseases such as fusarium and anthracnose. These characteristics ensure stable yields and product quality even under adverse growing conditions. The high genetic potential of the variety allows for efficient use of modern agronomic technologies, including optimized fertilization systems, which contribute to maximizing plant productivity.
