Focus

The rapeseed flax variety 'Focus' is an early-maturing, light-blue flowering variety developed for high yield and seed quality. It is characterized by a medium stem height of 48 to 86 cm, white corolla color at the bud stage which turns blue upon full development, and a white pistil at the base. The medium-sized capsule contains brown seeds with a mass of 1000 seeds ranging from 5.8 to 6.7 grams. The vegetative period of the variety is 87 to 95 days, allowing for harvest in a short time.

The 'Focus' variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases and lodging, as well as good drought resistance, rated at 4.0–4.2 points. It demonstrates stable yield: in the North Caucasus region, the average seed yield reaches 11.9 centners/hectare, and in the Lower Volga region, 10.0 centners/hectare, while the maximum yield can reach 22.4 centners/hectare. Resistance to seed shedding is also at a high level, which contributes to yield preservation.

Seeds of the 'Focus' variety contain a significant amount of oil – from 40.8% to 45.0%, with alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) content of about 61.3%. Oil collection reaches 8.5 centners/hectare, making this variety attractive for agricultural production and processing. It is recommended for cultivation in the regions of the North Caucasus and Lower Volga districts, including the Volgograd region and the Stavropol Territory, which confirms its adaptability to various climatic conditions.
