Charoïd flax is an annual herbaceous plant with upright, branched stems about 45-60 cm tall. Flowering is abundant and lasts approximately 60 days, with flowers having a distinct coloration and primarily opening on sunny days. The plant prefers open, sunny locations and thrives best on light, fertile soils. For cultivation, seeds are sown in March into trays with moist soil, covered with glass or plastic, at a temperature of +15°C to +20°C. Additionally, Charoïd is available as 100% linen fabric with a density of 195 g/m² and a width of 250 cm. This fabric has a crinkled effect, giving it a unique texture and making ironing unnecessary. The fabric is lilac-colored, softened, and ideal for sewing clothing and bedding. The fabric does not shrink, ensuring dimensional stability after washing. Gentle washing at a temperature up to 40°C, mild wringing, and air drying without over-drying or bleaching are recommended. Thus, Charoïd flax combines both the decorative qualities of the plant for landscaping lawns, flowerbeds, and borders, and the practicality of high-quality linen fabric for textile production. This makes it a versatile product suitable for both gardening and sewing, offering aesthetic appeal and durability.
