ARTEM

Artem rapeseed flax is a medium-early variety intended for cultivation in the Perm Krai and the Volga-Vyatsk region of Russia. Plants reach a height of 50.7 to 57.3 cm, have stems of medium length, and weak bract spotting. Flowers are characterized by a blue-violet calyx color in the bud stage, turning blue at full development, while the pistil base is white. Pods are of medium size, seeds are brown, and the mass of 1000 seeds is 6.9 g. The vegetative period lasts about 96 days, and flowering starts early. The variety is distinguished by high seed yield – averaging 10.8 c/ha in the region, reaching 12.5 c/ha in Perm Krai, which exceeds standard indicators. Fat content in seeds is 45.8%, making the oil suitable for food use. During field trials over the years, the variety demonstrated resistance to diseases and high shattering resistance, ensuring crop stability and product quality. The Artem variety is recommended for cultivation in the conditions of the Volga-Vyatsk region and Perm Krai, as confirmed by inclusion in the state register. Its characteristics and indicators make it attractive for agricultural production aimed at obtaining quality linseed oil and high-oil-content seeds.
